Murphy visited our network

Yesterday was a crazy day for me. Supposed to be we were meeting IBM blue guys in our Doha Office to discuss something I cannot reveal here, when our IT Support called me and said two buildings were down! I rushed back to the main office and while I'm on the road I was thinking, this is it! I knew it gonna happed, it's a matter of unexpected time.

I'll not divulge here any more further information as this is company matters, I'll better keep in my private blog, hehehe. I just want to commend my Head of IT for being super cool and really facing the scenario calmly. I didn't panic yesterday, but my boss showed more characters than me. Hat's off to him.

This year I got a major network revamp project already approved by the management. Just perfect time to do this project.

Scary stuff, it really puts

Scary stuff, it really puts you in the firing line when things like that go wrong. Still, it will probably help your company to realise that approving a new network is a very good idea and worth spending the money on. Maybe with some kind of redundancy or safe guards you can avoid further trouble?

Now, if only they needed an intranet and a certain web designer to come and create it for them. I like the idea of a working holiday in Doha...

Network and Mac

Yes, the network I'm designing right now is fully redundant. The existing network was there already established before I joined my company. It's now really about time for me to revamp this existing network.

Let's see if we can find clients here. But if you work and come here, I don't know if they will allow you to use your own mac :) I don't think you will fit in the working environment here to be honest. I'm hanging out here because of my family. As soon as our business booms, I'll retire right? :) I hope before we reach 40 :)
