Philippine School Doha Convocation on Career Guidance

I got a letter of invitation from Mr. Alberto C. Dorado, Guidance Counselor; and Jeanette P. Mose, Guidance Head of Philippine School Doha as one of the resource speakers for convocation on career guidance program on 3rd of February, in order for senior graduating students to be guided and assisted in choosing the courses or profession they prefer upon entering a chosen college or university after high school graduation.

Excerpt of the letter:

In behalf of the fourth year high school students who will be attending this convocation, we would like to invite you to be one of our resource speakers. We are sure that our students will benefit from your talk about college course and career you have chosen.

This is a big honor for me to be invited and be recognized by Philippine School Doha. Thanks for this trust :) I'm pretty excited and really looking forward for this event.

The reason I'm posting this invitation here is I want to share to you this opportunity as well of making a difference to the graduating high school students. You can help me to share your experiences and beliefs in college life by helping me answering these basic questions:

  • What were the factors that made you decide which college course would be taken after your high school graduation?
  • What were some of the apprehensions you met during your college days? How were you able to face and settle them?
  • What does a college student need to know in order to determine that this or a particular course is fitted to him/her?
  • What else you can advice to students? Your words of wisdom, your other learning and experiences while in college.

Please comment here or you can contact me privately for your responses.

Thanks and I will make sure that your ideas will be delivered to the students and credited to you (if you allow me).

PSD

I am a graduate of Batch '99 PSD. Things are different when you come to the real world. I'm a failure of that batch.

Why you failed?

Why do you think you failed Menardo? If you can share to us some of your experiences and difficulties, I’m sure you can help and guide some students from your alma mater. Thanks.

Why I think I failed?? That

Why I think I failed?? That was a time i guess I was depressed. But now things are really looking up.. I was not thinking clearly at that time......But I do think that it does not matter how many times you fall what matters is how many times you get up.....

What I'm doing?
