Top 50 Occupations for the next 10 years

I found this via digg and this is perfect for our PSD graduating students.

Interestingly, amongst the students I met and I interacted with, most of them are planning to take courses that will land them in these kind of occupations.

I’m pretty excited with the future of these kids.

Top 10 from the list:

  1. Registered Nurse
  2. Physicians and Surgeons

Happy and Satisfied

This afternoon, I finally delivered my speech to Philippine School Doha fourth year graduating students. I’m happy and satisfied listening to the students asking me some questions particularly those who are planning to take computer courses.

Interesting though, most of the questions are:

  • Do you know how to hack?
  • If I study Computer Engineering, I’ll be able to create virus?
  • How much is your salary? One student really insisted me to answer this question.

Practical and Common Sense Advices

A friend_who_doesn't_want_to_be_identified_here gave me a great feedback regarding PSD Convocation on Career Guidance. This is perfect and unique, because she is a mother of two bright students.

Here's what she wrote to me:

Inspire them by our own stories

I got my first feedback regarding PSD Convocation on Career Guidance from my brother. He said, inspire them by our own stories! How I became a Medical Doctor and how you became a Computer Engineer.

Both our college life are rich of different stories in both end of extremes. From those stories, I’m sure students will learn from our mistakes and success.

Philippine School Doha Convocation on Career Guidance

I got a letter of invitation from Mr. Alberto C. Dorado, Guidance Counselor; and Jeanette P. Mose, Guidance Head of Philippine School Doha as one of the resource speakers for convocation on career guidance program on 3rd of February, in order for senior graduating students to be guided and assisted in choosing the courses or profession they prefer upon entering a chosen college or university after high school graduation.
